LADAN Spa is a holistic, wellness spa located in Falls Church, Virginia.  Our therapeutic treatments, using organic and natural products, aim to help clients connect their body, mind and soul.  Clients say that our sessions offer them not only beautiful, well-nourished skin, but a relaxing, pampering, energy-healing experience that leaves them restored at every level.  

Meet our Founder

SHIRIN, Energy Healer, Spiritual Guide & Lead Aesthetician

Shirin first learned about the power of touch during her transformative years as a physical therapist assistant in Northern Virginia. Her journey to skincare began after a life-changing experience that proved the universe had different plans for her. 

At that same time, Shirin was being led down the path of ministry as well. She was ordained as an interfaith minister by The New Seminary and further deepened her spiritual practice by being attuned as a Reiki master by Carol Willa Dunning from The Center of Being in 2004. Combining these passions helped her incorporate Integrated Energy Therapy in her skincare.

This unique blend of physical and spiritual healing has enabled Shirin to infuse her skincare practice with Integrated Energy Therapy, Guided Meditation, Shamanic Journeying, Sound Healing and Past Life Regression to create a holistic approach that transcends conventional boundaries. Her work serves as a testament to her passion for nurturing both the body and the soul, guiding her clients towards radiant skin and balanced energy.

MAYSIE, Holistic Massage Therapist & Wellness Advocate

After earning her massage diploma from BodyMechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage in the Pacific Northwest, Maysie moved to New Mexico to progress her academic studies while also developing skills in mindfulness and empathy. This move marked a significant milestone in her journey, fostering a profound connection between her personal growth and professional skills.

While pursuing her Master’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology, she decided to devote her time and energy to the art and practice of massage, a decision that has brought wellness and joy to her and others’ lives.

As a therapist, Maysie strives to bring out the most potential for healing and bodily autonomy for each client, and uphold mindful listening as a standard for everyone to experience in her office. This commitment to individualized care creates a safe and welcoming space for healing.

She has experience with Myofascial Release and Dry massage, Sports Massage, Injury Treatment, Swedish, and Deep Tissue. Maysie’s proficiency in a range of techniques equips her to tailor her approach to suit each client’s unique needs.

During her career, Maysie hopes to expand her knowledge into other modalities and engage with her community in a meaningful and skillful way. Inspired by her love for learning, she is continuously striving to advance her expertise and contribute positively to her community.

MARTY, Certified Energy Healer and Reiki Practitioner with Expertise in Multiple Modalities

Marty is a passionate energy worker certified in Usui, Karuna Ki, Kuan Yin Violet Flame, and Animal reiki, and is a first level IET practitioner. He has dedicated himself full-time to learning and growing as a healer, including helping cancer patients (focusing on facilitating pain relief, improved outcomes, and quality of life) and lost and sick animals.

Marty is also a formally trained artist and creates bespoke crystal jewelry, intentionally designed for spiritual nurturing and healing. He is available for appointments every other Monday as well as every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 7.

NIKKI, Esthetician, Venus Versa TriBella Specialist, Holistic Advocate, Acne and Anti-Aging Specialist, Speed Waxing

With a unique blend of medical experience and a passion for holistic healing, Nicki has devoted the past decade to mastering the aesthetic industry. Starting her career as a surgical tech, she worked alongside renowned surgeons before taking a life-changing leap into aesthetics following the birth of her child.

Nicki's approach is both scientific and deeply personal. She specializes in acne and anti-aging treatments, finding the perfect balance for each client. Her journey has led her to pursue a degree in Holistic Healing and Integrative Medicine, and she's working towards her Registered Herbalist license.

Her clients appreciate Nicki for more than her technical expertise. They value the safe space she creates, allowing vulnerability without judgment. Her commitment to whole-body healing is reflected in her treatments, delivering not only beautiful skin but also soul comfort and confidence.

“I’ve spent the last 10 years learning and finding my way through the aesthetic industry. I took a leap and changed professions after my child was born, and found my way into the aesthetic community where I loved the science of it! Whether this is in a holistic sense or an advanced treatment sense, I greatly enjoy finding the best method of balance and treatment for everyone. I am currently enrolled in a degree program that focuses on Holistic Healing and Integrative medicine, and I hope to incorporate this kind of healing with not only soul comforting practices but easing the pressures of perfect skin. My role in your skin care journey is to guide you. My goal is to not only treat the specific skin concerns you have but also comfort your insecurities and uplift your soul. I am devoted to providing a safe space, noticeable results, and whole-body healing for all my clientele.”

REEM, Holistic Wellness Expert & Integrative Practitioner, Doctor of Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Reem Refae is a highly skilled practitioner with a deep passion for facilitating holistic healing and empowering individuals on their self-healing journey. She obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees from the esteemed Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego, CA. With a profound understanding of ancient wisdom and modern practice, Dr. Refae guides her clients towards optimal wellness by nurturing the sacred connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Drawing upon her expertise in acupuncture, moxibustion, and glass fire cupping, Dr. Refae offers personalized treatments that address the root cause of health conditions, promoting self-healing and restoring balance. Her gentle approach, combined with her intuitive guidance, creates a safe and transformative space for each client's unique healing journey.

SOPHIE, Holistic Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor

Sophie is a holistic massage therapist and yoga instructor. She began her career in massage therapy after graduating from Florida Academy in Fort Myers, Florida.

After working in both spas and wellness centers, she gained knowledge through her hands by seeing many different patients with many different issues and needs throughout the years.

She believes that each and every person can teach you something new.

“I love the therapeutic aspect of massage, but I also know how just a relaxing massage can have such a big impact on the body and mind and spirit”.

While continuing her work in Massage Therapy, she obtained her yoga teacher certification in Cape Coral, Florida. She has been deepening her practice which has helped her gain more of an understanding of how massage, the breath, movement and energy play in healing.

TERESA, Psychic Medium & Usui Reiki Master Energy Healer

Teresa is a Psychic Medium and Energy Healer certified as a Master Level Practitioner in the Usui Reiki tradition. Using her abilities as an empath and trained psychic, Teresa is able to bridge the connection with Spirit to deliver messages and insights that are deeply healing, validating and transformative for her clients.

Each energy healing session is unique and tailored to meet the client’s intention for that session. Teresa holds sacred space with the intention to cultivate the feeling of being safely held so clients may fully receive the benefits of Reiki, which is to promote harmony, balance and peace for the mind, body and spirit which then can accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Reiki is conducted through light touch to the body at the consent of the recipient. Teresa also incorporates gentle sound healing in her Reiki practice using crystal singing bowls and tuning forks to further support the setting for deep relaxation and release.
